IIIIIIIIIIT’S VOTING TIME!
To all my East Coast readers, I hope you are all recovering well from Sandy. It’s so jarring to be hit with something so devastating so close to home. Living in New York, the most un-tropical place in the world, I never imagined a hurricane of this magnitude affecting us. Several of my friends’ homes burned to the ground and my sister’s friend’s mother passed away in the storm. If the hurricane hasn’t affected you (thankfully) please don’t forget to help and donate as much as you can! There are so many with nothing! Thank you xx.
VOTING TIME, MY FRIENDS, IS UPON US!
ONLY TWO MORE DAYS.
I am beyond excited to be voting for my very first time. I don’t usually talk politics, but I would like to mention that I am going to be voting Obama. I am quite liberal in my views, and I don’t want to set the #1 country in the world back to the Stone Age by voting Romney.
However, if this were an option, this is where my vote would definitely go:
Who WOULDN’T support Tracy for Prez? If he were running for office, I would think this would be the first unanimous vote ever…everyone would vote Tracy. I am fully confident that the job of leading the most powerful country in the world should fall in his hands.
However, Spencer Tracy is dead and can’t run for President :””””””’(
So I’ll have to make do with Obama instead.
Happy Voting on Tuesday, folks!

Excellent posting! Good for you for seeing through corporatist Mittens, who would love to privatize FEMA. Brilliant!
I have to say I’d vote for Henry Fonda because he was a liberal in real life, and he played a lot of presidents. I’m not sure where Spence fell along party lines.

The only people who would vote Mittens are male chauvinists or retards who know nothing about politics, in my opinion! If he wins (which I highly doubt) I think I would end up moving out of this country.
I never knew that Henry Fonda was liberal!
Carole Lombard or Myrna Loy should’ve run for Prez because
1) woman president!!!!
2) they were both crazy-wonderful liberals

In France, if they could, 98% of the people would vote Obama…

I am SO glad to someone your age is excited about voting! As I think I’ve said before in your blog, my Cavalier spaniel Harry has been to the polls more than most people — he goes with me every year. Yes, to EVERY election, including the “unimportant” ones. Harry loves voting; he gets donuts!
And this seems a good place to explain why you won’t be hearing from me for the rest of November and December: I’m having foot surgery on 11/9, and will be home for 4 to 6 weeks — and since I don’t have Internet at home, no e-mail and no posting. (And there is no need for the look of Deep Pity — I find it not only cheaper but much more peaceful without home Internet!)
Remember, vote early and often!!

It’s even more exciting when you vote for the first time and your candidate wins!!!!
It was only a five-minute process, but it felt GREAT! And by the way, Cavalier spaniels are ADORABLE!
I’m thinking of you every day, I hope your operation went well
don’t worry about a lack of posting, just take the time to relax and recover! And I actually think you are lucky for having no internet at home…life is so much easier and more meaningful that way!
